NBA Friday Betting Preview & Predictions 1/11/19
This Friday will be a lot of fun as we will see plenty of NBA action. The first game of the night will be played in Philadelphia, as the 76ers (-1000) the clear favorite over the Atlanta Hawks (+767). Barring a miracle, there is no chance that Philly will lose this game to the tanking Hawks.
Spread: Sixers -14.5
Our Pick: Hawks +14.5
A more interesting game will be played in Washington, where the Wizards (+235) will host Milwaukee Bucks (-265). Washington will have a tough job playing against Giannis and the plethora of weapons around him. If we add to that the fact that John Wall will not be playing, it seems this is another win for the Bucks.
Spread: Bucks -8
Our Pick: Wizards +8
The New York Knicks (+328) will play at home against the Indiana Pacers (-375) and will likely continue their losing ways as the Pacers are playing on another level and the Knicks are in full-tank mode. I guess this Zion Williamson guy is worth it.
Spread: Pacers -8.5
Our Pick: Over 217.5
The Brooklyn Nets (+415) are on a run lately and if they can somehow manage to beat the Raptors (-485) in Toronto, that will be a huge win for them. Despite the recent form of the Nets, Raptors are one of the best teams in the league when they’re playing at home.
Spread: Raptors -9.5
Our Pick: Nets +9.5
James Harden is doing the impossible lately, almost singlehandedly carrying the entire team on his back. Rockets (-4000) have won 7 out of the last 10 games and should be expected to win convincingly against the Cavaliers (+1100) at home. Cavs are on a losing streak, having lost their 11 last games and have a terrible road record with only 3 wins and 17 losses.
Spread: Rockets -14.5
Our Pick: Over 216.5
The Dallas Mavericks (+186) will visit the Minnesota Timberwolves (-214). Minnesota is on a 3-game winning streak and are trying to catch-up the 8th seeded Los Angeles Lakers. The clear favorites will be Timberwolves since they play wonderfully at home and Mavericks have won only 3 games away and lost 18.
Spread: Timberwolves -4
Our Pick: Over 224
The Los Angeles Lakers (+311) will face the Utah Jazz (-357) in Salt Lake as they will be playing yet another game without their superstar LeBron James. It took Kyle Kuzma to score 41 points to help the Lakers defeat the Pistons in their last game. Utah Jazz will have to do without the services of Ricky Rubio and Dante Exum.
Spread: Jazz -8
Our Pick: Lakers +8
Portland (-265) will play at home against the Charlotte Hornets (+235) and it seems that the Trailblazers won’t have a very tough task playing against the visitors since they struggle mightily when they play away from home.
Spread: Blazers -6
Our Pick: Blazers -6
The last game of the night will be more of an exhibition as the Golden State Warriors (-1500) host the Chicago Bulls (+1050). Expect a double digit win for the Warriors on Friday night at home against one of the worst teams in the league.
Spread: Warriors -15.5
Our Pick: Warriors -15.5
